Wind power is usually generated using a wind turbine. Wind turbines are mechanical systems that convert kinetic energy into electrical energy.
How does wind power act on a wind turbine?
In a wind turbine, the kinetic energy comes from wind. Wind is the movement of air. Once the wind power pushes the blades of a wind turbine, it will create rotary movement inside the turbine which activates the gearboxes to turn the generator even faster! This creates electrical energy we can use in our homes.
